The light bulb came on regarding the power of His Spirit. Saved less than 2 years, I hungered to understand the Spirit Controlled life. The Major's message was what God used to change my spiritual life forever. We had the privilege to have the Major stay at our home in Fairfield, CA many years ago. I believe we visited a bit on the phone regarding my desire to obtain the book "Prayer or Pretense". As our precious Father would have it, I stood by a staff member from His Hill at the John Piper Conference this last weekend. My heart was so saddened to hear of the Major's passing. The world has lost a magnificant man of God. Dear Mrs. Thomas, my earnest prayers are with you and your loss of such a wonderful, godly, fearless soldier of the Lord to the very end. Major Thomas had the most unique way and manner of preaching the power of His life. I can't thank God enough for enabeling this precious man the desire and power to speak such great messages.
